“Sweet Spring!”

What pleases a woman's heart more than a spring day and chocolate?

Our Sweet Spring luncheon had both!  We enjoyed Deanna Evans share about her

family owned homemade fudge business, and heard talented soloist Christina Rice

Then Speaker Robby Kautz explained how she learned to let go.

Deanna Evans was natural as she described her family owned business that

creates sensational homemade fudge.  Starting out in the beginning with 3 flavors on

holidays, they have now grown to 19 flavors, and expect to add a new sugar-free one

soon. Deanna also spoiled us by donating 6 fudge hostess gifts, as well as

a variety of samples to taste.  Yum!

Always entertaining, soloist Christina Rice began by singing the upbeat song

"I'm Feeling Good", reminding us that it's a new day with a new life.

Later we were touched by her second song "Out of Hiding (Father's Song)"

which is about the Father drawing us to Himself, to His light, hope and intimacy.

Robby Kautz our Speaker, described her early life as one of turmoil, as she

witnessed the abuse of her father to her mother; resulting in her efforts to

be invisible, perfect, and to "stay safe".  At age 11 Robby learned about

God's love.  She prayed, received His peace, and felt safe.  Later however, after

being married and having children, Robby found that she had pushed down her

childhood emotions and stress and had developed PTSD. Seeking God's

healing, she knew that Jesus came to bind up and to heal the brokenhearted.

With His help, now many fears don't bind or control her any longer.  She is free

to drive, to clothes shop, and she is no longer frozen.  Robby even quit

her job to persue her hearts desire, to become an author.  She says yes to joy!

The gospel is the greatest love story ever - love wins!  Jesus rose from the dead

and He says that- because I live, you will live also.  The Holy Spirit

is our down payment on heaven.
