ďA Christmas to Remember

We surely enjoyed a beautiful start to the Christmas season!

"A Christmas to Remember" luncheon began with music by Guest Soloist Terry Barber,

superb information about tea from Special Feature George Barlow of The Crave,

and a heartwarming one person drama of the Christmas story by Mary Moffitt.

Originally from Indiana, and singing with Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians, today

Terry Barber our Special Music Guest delightfully sang "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire"

and later complimenting the drama, Terry also sweetly sang "Mary Did You Know".

Special Feature George Barlow and owner of The Crave told us about his store and of the variety

of gourmet teas and foods offered, of gift items such as candles, soaps, lotions, and

of a huge assortment of gift baskets to please all.

He then went on to explain interestsing information about the origin of tea,

the differences around the world, tea processing and storage.

George also generously supplied tea forte samples for each guest.

Have you ever wondered what it was like at the time Jesus was born?

Mary Moffitt, our Guest Speaker sweetly described the Christmas story

through a one-person drama, called "Mary Remembers." Reading a book of

rememberance, Mary related the birth of Jesus, His life, miracles, crucification. and death,

describing what "might" have taken place through the eyes of Mary, the Lord's mother.

Hearts were beautifully touched as Guest Soloist Terry Barber sang "Mary Did You Know."

Guest Speaker Mary then completed the program by explaining the revelance of Jesus' life

to each one of us personally, and we were powerfully reminded of God's love gift to us,

 Jesus Christ our Lord.
